Tonbridge Gold Expedition Weeks

You can register with Tonbridge Gold to do your qualifying expedition in either the Lake District or the Peak District.  However, this will depend on whether we have space available after taking into account all those who want to do their practice expeditions in those tow areas and the number of qualified Mountain Leaders we have available for each trip.

If you trained with Tonbridge Gold and did your practice expedition in the Lake District last year, or are going to do so this year, you will be able to do your qualifying expedition in the Peak District : 24th – 28th August 2013.

If you did your practice expedition in the Peak District last year, you may be able to do your qualifying expedition in the Lake District : 27th - 31st July 2013, although it is rapidly filling up  we would need to know soon.

If you have completed your expedition training with another Award Centre, you could join us on either of these two trips, providing you have not undertaken your practice expedition in the same area.  In 2012, two groups successfully completed their qualifying expeditions in the Peak District.

Download the Qualifying Expedition Application Form and return it to Linda Chapman whose address is on the form.  The closing date is Friday 22nd March 2013 for the Lake District and Friday 3rd May 2013 for the Peak District but the earlier you send it off the better.
